The Forum for African Women Educationalist Zimbabwe (FAWEZI) was part of the Ending Child Marriages concert held in the Harare on October 26.

The concert was led by Padare/Enkundleni/ Mens Forum on Gender and was graced by local musicians Oliver Mutudzi, Ex -Q , Shinsoman, Ngoni Kambarami ,Tariro neGitare and Claire Nyakudyara amongst others.

Children in and out of school attended the concert were they enjoyed music that speaks against the social evil. The Civil Organization which were present exhibited their work and material which is line with ending child marriages.
WOMEN’s Affairs minister Nyasha Chikwinya was the guest of honour.

Minister Chikwinya told the girls that they are fortunate to be growing in an era that has people and organisations that support girl chid education.

“When I was a girl there was no-one to fight for me to become a strong girl, it was just me and my parents,” she said.

“Some girls were even married off because they were bright.”
