Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) Dialogues Part 2
On 14 February FAWEZI held the second session on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) dialogues at Primary and Secondary level in the Chitungwiza District. With the Primary school children the same topics were discussed: puberty, stigma, discrimination, child abuse, and systems of reporting abuse. With the Secondary school students we also also spoke about: sexual abuse, grooming, drug and substance abuse, and strengthening the reporting system. The dialogue sessions were facilitated by Mrs P Manhivi from the Chitungwiza District Schools Inspectors Office. Issues raised by the students included: increase in drug abuse by young people, forms of abuse in school areas, how and where to report cases of abuse in and around schools.
