Call for Applications: Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Bursary under FAWE/Mastercard Phase II Programme for the Academic Year 2026, Zimbabwe
The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) has partnered with the Mastercard Foundation to implement the Second Chance Pathways for Increased Access to Tertiary Education for Marginalised Young Women and Men / FAWE/Mastercard Foundation Programme Phase II. Through FAWE Zimbabwe, there are 200 bursaries available (80% female and 20% male) for programme participants interested in pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) related programmes at selected Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions in Zimbabwe. The programme will prioritise participants facing the highest social and economic barriers, with 5-15% of them being people with disability and refugees.
Eligibility Criteria for TVET Bursaries at FAWE Zimbabwe
Be aged between 15 and 25 years at the time of application.
Applicants should meet the entry requirements of a TVET institution of their choice from those listed below.
Recent secondary school graduates are mostly encouraged to apply.
Applicants should have sat for their Ordinary or Advanced Level examinations in schools in any of Zimbabwe’s ten provinces.
The applicant must not be a current beneficiary of any other bursary or scholarship programme.
Applicants with disabilities, special needs, refugees, individuals infected or affected by HIV/AIDS, and orphans (partial or total) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applicants must be applying for 2–to 3-year courses in STEM fields.
The applicant must be applying for a STEM-related programme at the following institutions: Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare, Gweru, Kwekwe Polytechnics, and Belvedere Technical Teachers College.
The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education District offices in Zimbabwe’s 10 Provinces.
Deadline for Submission: 30 October 2025

Application forms are free. No fees, facilitation charges, or intermediaries are required at any stage of the process.
Any false information, misrepresentation, incomplete submission, or attempts to influence the process will result in immediate disqualification or termination from the programme.
All applications will be verified, including home visits for shortlisted candidates.
Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
FAWEZI upholds a zero-tolerance policy on child abuse, sexual exploitation, and harassment by employees, volunteers, service providers, partners, and all persons involved in programme delivery.
NB: Please note that calls will only be answered between 08:00hrs and 16:00hrs CAT, Monday to Friday. Calls, messages, or emails received outside these hours will not be attended to.
