Strengthening Strategic Partnerships to Empower Girls through Education
In a continued effort to champion gender equity in education, the Forum for African Women Educationalists Zimbabwe (FAWEZI), in partnership with the FAWE Regional Secretariat, recently engaged UNICEF Zimbabwe to deepen strategic partnerships that advance opportunities for girls through education.
This high-level engagement served to reaffirm the longstanding and dynamic collaboration between FAWE, FAWEZI, and UNICEF, anchored in a shared vision of empowering girls through inclusive, equitable, and gender-responsive education systems. Central to the discussions were joint priorities around increasing girls’ participation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and the broader application of FAWE’s proven models for advancing girls’ education across diverse contexts.
As partners committed to achieving lasting impact, the organizations reiterated their collective commitment to transforming education systems to better respond to the needs of girls in today’s rapidly evolving world. By leveraging their unique strengths, FAWE, FAWEZI, and UNICEF aim to scale up impactful interventions, mobilize resources, and influence policy frameworks that enable girls to not only access education but thrive within it.
This renewed commitment marks a strategic step forward in ensuring that no girl is left behind, positioning education as a powerful lever for achieving gender equality and sustainable development in Zimbabwe and beyond.
