FAWEZI Engages ZIMCHE to Enhance Tertiary Education Access for Marginalized Youth
In a bid to empower marginalized young men and women in Zimbabwe, the Forum for African Women Educationalists Zimbabwe (FAWEZI) with support from FAWE Uganda recently engaged in a pivotal meeting with the Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education (ZIMCHE) to discuss the FAWE-Mastercard Foundation Phase II Bridging Program for the marginalised young women and men.
This initiative focuses on improving access to tertiary education for the marginalised youth, aligning with the Second Chance Pathways for Increased Access to Tertiary Education for Marginalized Young Women and Men Program.
During the meeting, FAWEZI shared valuable lessons from Uganda’s program, which has significantly enhanced educational opportunities for young people. FAWEZI emphasized the transformative impact of increased access to tertiary education, noting its role in boosting employment opportunities, promoting personal development, and driving community growth.
This meeting began a collaborative partnership to ensure the program’s effective implementation in Zimbabwe.
