FAWEZI participated in the Joint Monitoring and Learning Visit in Zambia under the FAWE/Mastercard Foundation Phase II programme, hosted by the Forum for African Women Educationalists Zambia (FAWEZA).

Represented by Executive Director Lydia Madyirapanze and Field Officer Sandra Rgwambiwa, alongside selected Cohort 1 TVET bursary programme participants and institutional focal persons, FAWEZI joined FAWE Africa, the Mastercard Foundation and other stakeholders to reflect on programme progress and exchange implementation lessons.

Day 1 featured an engagement with Dr Kelvin Mambwe, Permanent Secretary – Education Services in Zambia’s Ministry of Education, focusing on programme progress, second-chance education pathways and the importance of listening to young people.

The visit provided a valuable platform for cross-country learning, strengthening collaboration and sharing experiences to advance inclusive TVET and tertiary education opportunities for young women and men facing barriers to education.
