FAWEZI Engages Ministry of Information to Strengthen Collaboration and Amplify Education Stories
The Forum for African Women Educationalists Zimbabwe (FAWEZI) engaged the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Nick Mangwana, to introduce the organisation’s work and explore opportunities for collaboration in amplifying stories that advance equitable and quality education in Zimbabwe.
FAWEZI was represented by its Programmes Manager, Nqobile Nkiwane, and Communication and Advocacy Officer, Menard Ziko, who outlined the organisation’s work in advancing girls’ education, inclusive learning opportunities and the empowerment of young women and men.
Strengthening Collaboration Through Strategic Communication
The Permanent Secretary acknowledged and appreciated FAWEZI’s work and expressed the Ministry’s readiness to provide support where needed. The engagement provided an opportunity to explore how collaboration with the Ministry could strengthen the visibility of education initiatives and bring stories of impact to wider audiences.
Amplifying Stories That Advance Education
Strategic communication plays an important role in highlighting progress, sharing evidence and bringing the experiences of programme participants into public discourse. Through stronger collaboration with media institutions, FAWEZI seeks to amplify stories that demonstrate how equitable and quality education can expand opportunities for girls, young women, men and marginalised communities.
The engagement marked an important step towards strengthening collaboration and creating opportunities to share stories that inspire action and contribute to Zimbabwe’s education and development priorities.
Through strategic partnerships and effective communication, FAWEZI continues to champion equitable, quality education and opportunities for all.
