The Forum for African Women Educationalists Zimbabwe (FAWEZI) is proud to announce the publication of its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting a year of strategic progress, strengthened partnerships, and expanded opportunities for girls and young women across Zimbabwe.

The year 2025 marked a significant milestone for FAWEZI, with the transition from strategy design to full implementation following the launch of the FAWEZI Strategic Plan (2024–2028). Anchored on five pillars — Quality Education; Advocacy and Policy Influence; Knowledge Generation; Capacity Strengthening; and Collaboration and Networking — the organisation continued to drive systemic change in education through evidence-based and inclusive approaches.

Throughout the year, FAWEZI expanded its reach across education, protection, and skills development programming. Notable achievements include the launch of the FAWE/Mastercard Foundation Phase II Programme, which is advancing inclusive tertiary and TVET pathways for marginalised young women and men, and the rollout of the Resilient, Innovative, Skilled and Empowered Girls (RISE) Project, strengthening adolescent empowerment and community protection systems.

FAWEZI also successfully concluded key initiatives such as the Transforming Adolescent Girls’ Opportunities through STEM and Skills Development (TAGO) Project and the Towards Resilient Communities with Health, Equity, and Safety for All (TORCHES) Project, both of which delivered impactful results in expanding access to quality education, strengthening protection systems, and promoting girls’ participation in STEM.

Institutional strengthening remained a cornerstone of FAWEZI’s work, with the organisation strengthening partnerships with Government ministries, tertiary institutions, and development partners to support sustainable and scalable impact. These efforts have positioned FAWEZI as a key national and regional actor in advancing girls’ education and gender equality.

The 2025 Annual Report reflects FAWEZI’s continued commitment to Change Through Equitable and Quality Education, showcasing how strategic investments in girls and young women are transforming lives, communities, and systems.
